Instructor
Elizabeth Koper
Liz Koper began riding lessons in Chicago, Illinois at 6 years old. She has been riding and training ever since. Liz rode while at Murray State University, earning her bachelors degree in Education, before purchasing her own piece of land with her husband in 2010.
Liz continues her education with riding and training, with local coaches and trainers, as well as traveling with her competition team to schooling as well as rated shows.
Teaching children is part of Liz’s daily life, as she
worked after school day care programs and was a nanny for several families since she was a teenager.
Running a summer camp also comes naturally for Liz, as she spent several summers as a counselor and activities director for Camp Rim Rock for girls- a residential riding camp in West Virginia. After that, she worked as a camp director for the YMCA of Greater St. Louis, all before graduating from Murray State University.
Liz and her husband have converted KDF Farm into a beautiful scenic farm, very private and perfectly set up for all of horses' natural needs.
Liz believes in teaching riders all the foundations of being a horseman or horsewoman, without the extravagance or fluff. She teaches riders the importance of patience, respect, understanding, safety and confidence both on the ground and in the saddle.
